Introduction

The concept of Dajjal (The Antichrist) has been a subject of deep discussion in Islamic teachings. According to Hadith, Dajjal will be a great deceiver who will spread falsehood and manipulate people with extraordinary powers. In today’s world, many scholars and researchers link Dajjal’s influence with the rapid advancements in modern technology. Could technology be a tool in Dajjal’s plan? Let’s explore this idea.

---

1. The Power of Media and Digital Deception

One of the biggest signs of Dajjal is his ability to manipulate minds and spread falsehood. Today, we see how media—especially social media—can shape public opinion, spread misinformation, and deceive people on a massive scale.

Deepfake technology can create realistic but fake videos of people saying things they never said.

AI-generated content can manipulate history and change narratives.

Propaganda through social media can control public perception and create false realities.

These technologies make it easier to spread lies and deceive millions—just as Dajjal is prophesied to do.

---

2. The One-Eyed Symbolism and Surveillance

Hadith describes Dajjal as "one-eyed" (A'war). Interestingly, the modern world is filled with eye-like surveillance technologies, such as:

CCTV cameras tracking every movement.

Facial recognition systems monitoring people worldwide.

AI-powered drones spying on individuals.

Some scholars suggest that these technologies could be preparing the world for a system of total control, where privacy is eliminated, and people are constantly watched—possibly by a Dajjalic system.

---

3. Digital Currency and Financial Control

Dajjal is said to control resources and force people to follow him by restricting food, water, and wealth. Today, we see the rise of:

Cashless economies where digital money replaces physical currency.

Cryptocurrencies and central bank digital currencies (CBDCs) that can be fully controlled by governments.

Biometric payment systems linking purchases to fingerprints, faces, or even microchips.

This technology could lead to a system where financial transactions are monitored and controlled, making it easier to punish those who resist a global authority—just as Hadith describes Dajjal doing.

---

4. Artificial Intelligence and the Illusion of God-Like Power

Dajjal is said to perform miracles to deceive people into believing he is divine. Today, Artificial Intelligence (AI) is reaching a level where it can:

Create realistic but fake images, videos, and voices.

Simulate human emotions and conversations.

Generate "superintelligent" systems that outthink humans.

Many scientists believe AI could become so powerful that people start worshipping it, just like Dajjal will demand worship. Some even say AI could be used to fake supernatural events to manipulate the masses.

---

5. The Global System of Control (The "Fitna" of Dajjal)

The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) warned that Dajjal’s greatest trial (Fitna) would be deception and control. Modern technological advancements have created a world where:

Surveillance and AI control everything.

Social media and virtual reality can create a fake world.

Financial systems can be used to control people's choices.

If all this power falls into the hands of a corrupt global leader, it could fulfill the prophecy of Dajjal's rule.

---

Conclusion: How to Protect Ourselves?

Islam teaches that the best way to protect ourselves from Dajjal’s deception is:

1. Strengthening our faith (Iman) and seeking knowledge.

2. Reciting Surah Al-Kahf every Friday, as mentioned in Hadith.

3. Being aware of how technology can be used for good or evil.

4. Avoiding blind trust in the digital world and always seeking the truth.

While technology itself is not evil, its misuse can lead to deception and control—two major characteristics of Dajjal’s rule. As Muslims, we must stay informed, stay connected t

o the Quran and Sunnah, and always seek the truth.

May Allah protect us from the Fitna of Dajjal. Ameen!
